Thank you for visiting our wedding website! We've put this site together so we can share how we met, help our guests find accommodations, and provide directions to the ceremony and reception!
During the weekend of our wedding, New Haven will be running its annual Arts and Ideas festival. This event has international and local performing arts, lectures, and conversations that take over theaters and open spaces all over New Haven. You can also check out The Peabody Musuem of Natural History or The Yale Art Gallery -both of which are within walking distance from many of the hotels in the area.
There are many wonderful restuarants in the area; worth checking out are Claire's Cornucopia [vegetarian], Miya's Sushi [fun, sustainable sushi], Louis' Lunch [first burger in the US! Don't ask for ketchup, however, do order a "cheese works"], BAR pizza and brewery [where David works], Frank Pepe's [world renowned pizzeria], 116 Crown [an upscale bar and eatery], and Caseus [a formagerie/bistro]. All of these are easily accessible by walking from any of the downtown hotels.
On the morning of our wedding, CitySeed will be running their farmer's market in Wooster Square, if you go, Caseus will have their cheese truck and you can sample some great cheeses -and of course local produce.
So check back often for updates or email us if you have any questions!
Amity lanes, a debate about Katrina, Bentara in New Haven, a party at Chestnut, and a kiss...
We crossed paths a few times before, at a bagel shop, a bowling alley, and at friends' but it wasn't until that fateful fall evening did we take notice of each other. The recipe was simple, a party, a glass of wine and a debate about Hurricane Katrina and we were hooked. We became inseparable. Things only got better and we soon discovered our mutual love for being outside, on the water and for growing food and cooking [Ashley grows it, David cooks it]. We've had plenty of exciting adventures together over the past few years and are excited to be starting the next chapter of our lives together. We are truly happy to share its beginning with you and hope you can make it out to celebrate with us.
